Based in Lyon, we are a team of around forty passionate, bold and slightly utopian people. We offer well-made furniture with one obsession: creating interiors that make you smile!
The adventure began in 2010 with one observation: the lack of choice in affordable design furniture. After spending 2 years in Asia, Pierre & Virginie, the founders of Maison Pavane, decided to create a brand in a sector they both love: decor and furniture. It was also an opportunity for Pierre to keep a link with Asia, and more particularly with Vietnam, his grandmother’s home country. By handling both sourcing and direct online sales, with no added cost, they were, in their own way, pioneers of short supply chains.
Creating well-made furniture, for you: We travel the world to meet those who know how to work with beautiful materials, as close as possible to their origin. Together, we create gems designed for everyday life, with character and style, that you won’t find everywhere. At every stage, with every gesture, we think of you, in your home, and how our furniture can bring you happiness. Because we all have our own personality and may or may not want to follow trends, we offer multiple variations in colour, material and shape. Freedom of choice, inspiration without limits.

Nothing conventional about our organisation: No hierarchy, no pyramid structure, no line managers, no managers’ meetings… We have broken the codes of the traditional company, with the aim of everyone’s personal fulfilment. Everyone has the right to speak and every voice counts. All strategic discussions are debated, every rule in the organisation is agreed collectively, and everyone is free to run their projects as they wish, within the framework we have defined.
People first: We love what we do, our partners who have become our friends, and you, our customers, for whom we do it. Optimists at heart, we see every day as an opportunity to grow and learn. We stand for freedom, because it allows everyone to follow their own path and find their happiness. Every day, we try to contribute, in our own way, to a fairer and more equitable world. We have supported the charity Les Enfants du Mekong since 2012. Since 2017, we have also had a space dedicated to giving damaged furniture a new lease of life, to upcycle rather than throw away.
