What does the comparison price mean?Updated 14 hours ago

In accordance with current regulations, and in particular the European directive known as the “Omnibus” Directive on price transparency, we wish to inform our customers how the comparison prices shown on our website and on certain partner platforms are determined.

General principle:
The comparison price shown corresponds to a reference price observed on the French market, allowing consumers to assess how our offers are positioned.
It is not necessarily a price actually charged by our company, but a price based on a market analysis carried out using the methodology described below.

Scope of the analysis:
The comparison price is determined from a panel of competitors operating on the French market, over an observation period of up to the last 12 months before the comparison price is displayed.

The selected competitors offer comparable products in terms of range, positioning and distribution channel (online retailers specialising in furniture and décor).

Product equivalence criteria:
The products used for comparison meet objective equivalence criteria to ensure a fair and relevant comparison. These criteria include in particular:

  • The main use of the product (e.g. dining chair, coffee table, sofa, decorative lighting, etc.)
  • Overall dimensions (height, width, depth, seating capacity where applicable), within reasonable tolerances
  • Main materials (wood, metal, fabric, velvet, rattan, ceramic, etc.)
  • Style and product category (indoor/outdoor furniture, functional or decorative furniture)
  • Level of finish and perceived quality, where relevant

Accessories, options or minor variations (colours, shades, secondary finishes) may differ, provided they do not change the use or nature of the product.

How the comparison price is calculated:
The comparison price generally corresponds to:

  • either the price most frequently observed across the panel of competitors,
  • or an average observed price,
  • or a recommended retail price where available and relevant.

Where possible, the observed prices include applicable taxes and exclude one-off promotions, private sales and short-term special offers.

Updates and limitations:
Comparison prices may change over time depending on:

  • market variations,
  • changes in collections,
  • the availability of the products compared.

Despite the care taken with this analysis, there may be differences between the comparison price shown and certain prices occasionally observed at competitors, particularly during promotional periods.

Transparency objective:
This methodology aims to provide consumers with fair, clear and transparent information, in line with legal requirements, to help them see where our prices stand on the market at the time of purchase.
